About Us

Plastech was established in 1996, with the sole focus of offering an exclusive insurance scheme for the plastics sector.

We recognise that there are unique challenges and risks in the plastics industry, and have worked with key insurers to design a specialist insurance product to provide the right cover.

Over the years, we have gained a wealth of knoweledge and understanding about the plastic industry, and can therefore confidently offer advice and recommendations.

 

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?

We don’t consider ourselves to be an average insurance broker. Not just because of our experience in the plastics industry.

Our clients obviously expect us to provide them with advice about which kind of insurance programme suits them. However, rather than just doing that at the outset, we aim to be there throughout their lifetime. We look to build longstanding relationships on a foundation of trust, integrity and sensitivity.

All of our clients are appointed with their own dedicated Account Handler, overseen by an Account Director. We provide one main point of contact, which means just one direct line number to call. We are the polar opposite of the call centre environment in which insurance is reduced merely to a financial transaction.

Risk Management is very important to us, and our inhouse Risk Managers play a part in all of our insurance reviews. As they are trained professionals in Risk Management, they can advise on ways you can minimise the threat to your business, and maximise premium savings as a result.

No one actually wants to be making a claim. But, unfortunately, for many businesses it’s inevitable. So, it’s important to us that our high levels of service continue throughout the claims process. Our in-house Claims Team are there to assist you through the entire process, working on your behalf to ensure that any disruption is kept to a minimum.

WHAT WILL WE DO AS PART OF A REVIEW?
As part of any insurance review we will:

  • get to know your business
  • discuss the risks that commonly affect your industry and those that are specific to your business
  • carry out a risk assessment, and where relevant provide a risk report with recommendations
  • review your existing cover and management figures to ensure the accuracy of your sums insured and limits of cover
  • provide a quotation based on the findings of our review.
